Wipro partners with Oracle to offer analytics solutions

    (IANS)

Indian IT bellwether Wipro has teamed up with global enterprise software products firm Oracle to offer a warranty management and analytics solution for industrial manufacturing, automotive and high-tech industries, the company said late Friday.

'By leveraging our industry expertise with Oracle's Siebel customer relationship management (CRM) applications, we will help streamline the warranty management process across original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and their suppliers and contract manufacturers to reduce warranty expenses and fraudulent claims,' Wipro vice president N.S. Bala said in a statement here.

According to Oracle vice president John Barcus, at least four percent of warranty claims are fraudulent, making it one of the biggest challenges faced by the manufacturing industry.

'There is an immense opportunity to reduce these losses and an effective product warranty management solution is pivotal in helping reduce fraud-related losses,' Barcus said.

A streamlined warranty process and analytics will allow customers to predict their warranty exposure and manage warranty reserves.

The domain solution will be hosted for demonstration at Wipro's Oracle Lab (Ozone) to allow its clients to see its deployment and benefits.

As a leading Oracle services provider, Wipro provides services from rack to stack across Oracle product suite.
