    (IANS)

External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna Friday expressed 'great concern' over China terming Jammu and Kashmir 'Indian-controlled Kashmir'.

'Jammu and Kahsmir is an inalienable part of India. We have noted with great concern the comments made by China,' Krishna told media persons after a meeting of the parliamentary standing committee on external affairs, which was held at the iconic Hotel Taj Mahal Palace.

He said that India has asked its ambassador in China to convey its concerns and expressed hope that the Chinese government would understand their feelings over the issue.

Earlier, he praised the people Mumbai and its resilient spirit in tackling all challenges, be they natural or man-made, and referred to the floods, bomb explosions and terror attacks that the city has survived over the past few years.

Krishna said that the parliamentary committee made it a point to meet at the Taj Hotel to pay tribute to the victims of the Nov 26-29, 2008 terror attack.
