Trial run of buses for CWG causes traffic jam
    Pakistan Telegraph
    Wednesday 8th September, 2010
    (IANS)

The trial run of 12 buses till the Yamuna Sports Complex for the Commonwealth Games caused a massive traffic jam on the Ghazipur-Anand Vihar road Wednesday.

A long traffic jam occurred within five minutes as the buses were made to pass uninterrupted across the Anand Vihar border.

The traffic jam elongated till the Ghazipur village and the entire newly constructed Telco T-Point flyover was full of vehicles. Similarly, the Karkari Morh-Ghazipur Road also saw massive jams, eye-witnesses said.

The Delhi PWD has written to the Ghaziabad DM, SSP, and Municipal Commissioner to relocate a temple on the corner of Maharjpur intersection towards Uttar Pradesh side at the earliest so that construction work could be carried out without any hindrance.
