    Jammu-Kashmir police arrest four persons carrying threatening posters to support strikes

    The Jammu and Kashmir police on Thursday arrested three persons in Kulgam District for carrying posters which threatened people to support the strike calls or face serious consequences.

    According to Superintendent of Police, District Kulgam, Keshav Ram Chaurasia, during Naka checking at Paharoo, the police party intercepted three persons riding a motorcycle. n searching the three persons identified as-Sayar Ahmad Ganie (24), Nawaj Ahmad Teli (20) and Nawaj Ahmad Teli (19),residents of Chian Adigam, Devsar Kulgam, police recovered 45 objectionable and unlawful posters from them.

    On interrogation, the three revealed that these posters were to be pasted on the shops which remained open during the day and didn't support the call for strike and threaten them with serious action if they didn't' support the strike calls.

    The trio also revealed that these posters were provided by a leader of Hurriyat (G) who had also directed them to organize the stone pelting in the area.

    The three accused were detained for further investigation and the person who had provided the posters has also been arrested. (ANI)
